under valve covers
I was surfing some older threads on this forum and was reading about retorquing injector bolts and rocker arms. My Truck has 110,000 miles on it and as far as i know the valve covers have never been removed. Should i check these items as part of maint. or wait till i have a problem that requires valve cover removal and check them then.

I just fixed a UVCH problem a couple of months ago. Personally, there's NO way I would pull the covers as part of a maintenance program. They're a real PITA, especially the passenger side. Others more experienced and wiser than me will undoubtedly weigh in, but that's my $ 0.02.

If you have the time and initiative do it now. While your at it inspect the UVC harness and add the UVCH retaininer clips or do the quarter mod. I always believe preventative maintenance is better and usually cheaper then corrective maintenance.
Edit: Ohm out your glow plugs and replace any that are bad and/or replace them all.
