Got my reproduction shock plates and full SS Badging for my 69 Camaro today..
Rear shocks should be here Friday.
Now I can get busy getting the traction bars and air shocks off the rear along with the shackles to return it all to stock. All this junk including the Z28 badging has been on the car since it was close to new.
I figure that finishing the cleanup and return of the car to as stock as possible will help boost its value when I put it on Hemmings soon.
Oh yeah, and I need to take a look at the front brakes as they are a bit grabby.
I'll miss the car, I'm sure, but I need to focus on only one car project...
If it does not sell this year, I may just freshen up the original engine and put it back in the car. That will free up a nice little 355 that I built for it..
I had a '67 Camaro with a 454 under the hood. Always liked those years. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks guys...
I've posted pics of the Camaro here before, but here are a couple.
It is a numbers matching SS-350 4spd car with 12 bolt rear. It's never seen snow - no rust and is not a bondo-bucket..
The other car (website needs updating) can be seen here:: Http://www.GT-Forty.com
Good morning guys..
Thanks..
The GT40 is in the bodywork stage and about 90% done (bodywork alone), then will need to be painted, chassis powdercoated, plumbed, wired and finally assembled again. I have someone who is interested in buying it the way it is and may sell it - but will probably regret it if I do..
Happy hump day everybody. I have an unexpected day off today for a funeral, kinda cold and windy but we don't get to pick the weather I guess.
I'm learning how to replace the refrigerator cooling unit in the motorhome & was hoping the parts would be here today. I just called and they are shipping tomorrow so I'll have to wait. The refrigerator quit working last week when i got the generator running. I hope this is it now and i can place an ad to sell it soon.
