Figuring out the mess of wires that comprise the factory wiring kit for the Transit today. Also need to find a 9/16ths drill bit to install the hitch. Should be a good time.

Survived another use of force training. Slightly beat up and cut up wrists otherwise good.
Good morning Cory!
Sounds like an excuse for Des playing a little too hard with ya!

Good morning Tom!
Oh just take a 1/2 bit and then ream it out a little bit. Problem solved!
Maybe I could bring it down? I really don't wanna spend $15 on a bit that I'll never use again.
You will spend more then the 15 bucks in fuel going down there and back. Just sayin.... Now if you are looking for help installing it then it works out good but you really aren't saving the 15 bucks.
Got the hitch mounted up, but the two final bolts are waiting on a drill bit. The steel isn't that thick, so I don't think this will be a difficult thing to drill. A little frustrated that the hitch wasn't as smooth of an install as past Curt hitches have been. I essentially had to bend the front flanges outward with the mounting bolts to install the bottom ones, then beat the hitch upward between the frame rails. I'm sure it was designed to go right up against the rails, but this one was just a bit too wide. Quite a beefy unit though, it's rated for 10,000 lbs.

Not quite, but close. About 110 miles and 15 MPG is about seven gallons. I've hassled Chris for years via phone and FTE, so I'm looking forward to the chance to do it in person. That's the real reason I'm looking forward to the trip down there.
It's like that one thing you've always wanted to get, finally can buy it, then it's junk. Just wrecks your day...
The most frustrating part is that I've exclusively been buying Curt hitches for years. They've always been really great, and I generally think they are of better quality than the Cequent brands. Made in Eau Claire as well.
Oh well...the Transit is relatively new to the North American market, and I bet they haven't sold very many of them. I'll be sending them feedback.
