Oh well...the Transit is relatively new to the North American market, and I bet they haven't sold very many of them. I'll be sending them feedback.
There are manufacturing tolerences at both Ford & Curt, and you may very well be at the extreme of the stack up. The next random pairing of van & hitch may fit perfectly. Good luck with the drilling, i hate that crap, it's like real work.
I think you guys are giving Cory to much credit. Getting Des to even think about doing it...
LOL! That is true!

Oh sorry you will spend 13 instead of 15 whatever you do don't make a wrong turn or step on the go pedal to much because you will be over the 15 bucks.
You suck Troy. Was milling about Fleet Farm this afternoon and saw a cheap 1/2" bit for $5.99. Figured it was worth a try, and it worked better than I thought it would have. Absolute PITA fishing the bolts through the holes I made because of the design of the rail, but I got her all done tonight.
Eventful day today. IN other news, Hannah got her power chair today. We're all pretty excited for her, and we'll be even more so when we can have a convenient way of moving it around. Hoping to have the van modified in the next month or so.
And lastly...I'm a Christian, and so I don't believe in such things. But if there were a tire deity he would HATE ME. All four tires on my new Kia look almost new with over 7/32nds tread, but while chasing a vibration I had Fleet Farm road force balance them. One of them is badly out of spec, so I'm concerned that it's a separating belt. Guess I'm tire shopping again...
Nice work Tom! Hannah looks very happy and I'm sure her new wheels will serve her well for a very long time..
Good evening guys...
Spent the day running around with eye doctor appointment for me and optomotrists appointments for both Dar and I at different places. Turns out my eyes are pretty healthy, although vision is weaker. We got my new glasses ordered up - it's been 12 years since my current glasses were bought. Going to try the photogray darkening stuff this time and see if it will work for me.
Made more progress on my power SSQA upgrade (JD never offered this, and it's taken some doing). Since I managed to bring all my batteries home (oops!), my cordless grinder does me no good, so I got another DeWalt that I can run off my inverter (only have 5 others at home). Tomorrow I'll grind the paint off the boom and backing plate and tidy up the hoses by welding clamps on, and then I'll just need to mull over how to address the angularity issue currently bandaged by the bungee.
Still a good day, as I got my soldering done without a drop of rain up here.
Cold and rainy here and my brother sends me fishing pics of his catches today. Oh boy that looks like fun!
Looks like Ryan was having fun! You should tell him to stop in and say hi sometime!
