With the listing saying "Lights" I assume it is for both. But I will have to wait and see what the seller says. Most of all, I want to make sure they will actually work on my 03.
Make sure they are OEM. Just because they "came off of" as the ad claims, doesn't mean they are factory.
$1500 for the whole job of both ends getting gone over with new gears is pretty good as long as the shop knows what they are doing. I had inquired locally and I was quoted around $2k for the job, but got a set of 4.88 axles for $1200 so I went that way.
That is a good price. The shops around here wanted 2grand for both axles as well. Price out the Yukon gearsets and install bits and their labor comes out quite reasonable. But it's only reasonable if the gears last. Unfortunately you are down the road a ways before you know if they set something up wrong.
A $200 savings on something that rusted compared to brand new seems a little steep. I'd doubt you could have it blasted and then paint it yourself for less then $200, and to do it right you would most likely disassemble the whole thing and end up replacing the bolts with new.

Oh, I would not have paid what he is asking, but I may have put in an offer

I was very interested when you posted it, but it's a little rich for my blood and Buckley is a ways south from me. I'm up north of Everett. I am working on the roof rack situation, figured I could get it taken care of fairly inexpensively. So far I have some Explorer brackets and cross bars, have to get someone to weld them; and I have a Thule box that I purchased for $100 off of a local Facebook selling site. I would like a basket though.
