I agree with the very questionable mileage claim based on the condition, those were some tough 48k miles.

And I love this quote from the ad. " I used it only to tow my toys to Glamis and the river", then with no mention of a gear change the best case effective ratio (if factory 4.30s) with those 39.5" tires would be 3.43 or a super awesome tow rig effective ratio of 2.79 with the more common factory 3.73s! And what a coincidence that it needed trans work!

Isn't that a little high for a V10 gasser?

I just bought a 2000 Limited 7.3 Green (like yours in your sig) with 228k in great shape for $10.5.

Around my parts (CA) that's actually low. Especially with the lower miles it has.

For a $100k+ truck, you would think they would have spent a little more time on the small things like the dual steering stabilizer brackets. They're crooked as heck.
