Bought a barrel water to air intercooler kit. 4" diameter with .75" water inlet and outlet.
Reversed bypass valve and plumbed in barrel cooler. Now all bypass air goes thru intercooler and cruise temps are down by 30 - 50 degrees.
It cannot cool boosted air but at least I'm not recirculating hot 200 degree air back into blower while driving.
Kit is now perfect, cost an extra $300 for this kit but between the water meth and this kit it's running very good.
I'm half afraid to drive it, afraid I might break transmission, ujoints, transfer case or something. Hope spark plugs stay in their holes. I have 4 psi boost at 1800 rpm at part throttle and peaks at 10 psi. Drive train was not made for this kind of power. Snow and ice is going to be challenging.
Well it was 15 below zero last week and cruise IAT was around 40 degrees. When water meth kicked in IAT went to around 5 degrees. Spraying -15 degree W/M into system was like spaying nitrous.
I just bought a kenne bell kit for my V10 used off craigslist, I just sent the blower off to Jon Bond Performance to be rebuilt for peace of mind. The kit came with the kenne bell chip but may not be burned for 4.56 gears and 35's, so I'm thinking of going with a dyno tune instead but I'm not sure if my diablosport predator is going to be able to tune for the blower or whether I'm going to have to switch to an SCT product. Does anyone have any insight?

Well I can tell you that final drive ratio (transmission, gears, tires, etc.) has nothing to do with engine tuning so if that is your reason, don't waste your money.
If you find that there's something wrong with the tune you've got, then it makes sense to investigate.

Yes I understand that and maybe I wasn't clear but if I install the kenne bell chip then it will override the tune that I currently have and my speedo and shift points will be off. Kenne bell said it is old software and they probably can't reflash their chip for gears and tires.

Oh, sorry I wasn't even considering speedometer calibration, that makes a lot more sense.
I've never had a v10 X or super duty but on the 6.0 platform the speedo calibration is done through the ABS computer, is that different on the v10 platform? Unless it's different ECU tuning shouldn't affect your speedo calibration.
If you got the kit from a guy in Colorado, I have seen that kit and told him what parts are needed to be removed from old truck.
I think the only thing missing was the cruise control cable.
my advise is to scrap the boost a pump and put larger injectors and a 250 lph fuel pump in it.
the stock maf is too small so tuning above 4800 rpm will peg it. Expecially if your below 5000 ft of elevation.
These 2.3L head units get very hot. Advise a water meth injection kit to cool things off.
my advise is to contact Lasota Racing. Don will sell you a good email tune.....he did mine. He will want a wide band O2, and a Lightning maf with a IAT sensor in intake manifold. SCT is the way to go.
speedometer can be corrected with sct....I did mine. Just tell Don to activate that function so you can change it.

No I bought the kit off a guy local here in PA. I have a water/methonal kit currently installed.
The kit came with larger injectors and the Boost A Pump. But I need to drop the fuel tank anyway for a bad sending unit, does anyone make a drop-in replacement pump that flows 250 lph?
What year lightning should I get the MAF from 99-04? Direct plug in I assume?
Go to Lasota Racing website.
http://www.lasotaracing.com
contact Don there he will walk you thru it all.
he is a very nice guy and is helping me with the tuning on my V10 turbo install.
the lighting maf needs to be wired correctly.....not exactly plug and play as lightning 90 mm MAFs do not have temp sensors in them.
pcm will need reprogrammd for a lightning maf.
fyi, as far I I know these kits did not come with larger injectors. The KB chip will not be programmed for the larger injectors. KB used the BAP to increase fuel pressure....fooling the pcm during open loop to feed more fuel to motor. Larger injectors will over fuel in open loop. Hurting power depending on how big they are.
with methanol and water the 185 should work but being you are a low lander the 255 would be what I wold pick.
let us know how it works.....I always wondered if the 255 would over run stock fuel regulator.
I'm looking at the walbro 450 lph for my turbo project.
I hate over sizing a pump. 99.9% of my driving is between 2000 and 3500 rpm. The oem fuel pump would handle this. BUT to reprogram pcm you have to do a wot pull and thats when the big fuel pump is needed.
