Hey guys if i was to buy a new master cylinder without the reservoir, do you think it would be ok to use my fluid reservoir on my old one? Or should i just get the whole thing?
If your reservoir comes off in one piece, I don't see a problem.
Ok i mean it only saves a few bucks but i was just wandering about it i mean it does just basically just hold brake fluid lol! Thanks man for the help!!
You had said earlier that you don't have a vacuum tool. I bought one at Harbor Freight for about $20. I know that HF is not the best, but when you're broke, any vacuum tool is better than none at all! Normally, I try to stick with Craftsman or Snap-On, but sometimes the cost just ain't realistic...
Thanks brother! I do have one of those! I was talking about a handi vac vacuum pump like rla2005 was speaking of! But i agree about being broke when it comes to buying stuff unfortunately most of my hand tools are cheap ones lol except i absolutely refuse to buy cheap, vise grips or channel lock pliers lol unless i dont care about destroying them! Yeah some stuff from HF is ok and other stuff is alright. Just kind of depends on what you buy i guess

I have a set of four Craftsman vise grips I purchased in the nineties. The vise grips they (Craftsman) have now don't come close to measuring up to the quality of these...

Exactly they dont make stuff the way they used too thats for sure lol!
Yeah thats the one i'd like to get also hey man where's my code reader lol! Just kidding man! Appreciate ur guys help!! Maybe someone can answer me this, it has nothing to do with this thread.... But i don't want to start another! But when I turn the ignition switch it is not engaging the starter every time, for some reason? I dont think it's the starter relay/solenoid or the actuator is not broken yet, because if I back the key off, and turn it is far as i can it will start at least as of now. Also if you turn the key to off position and turn it just a bit to far the radio comes on and you have to turn it foward then, back to off! There is a sweet spot for it. Any ideas on this? Thanks guys!!!!!

Sounds similar to a problem I have on occasion. I'll turn key on, everything is good, turn to start, nothing...no click, nothing. Tried to jump-start it, nothing.
There is a contact in the starter relay circuit that closes when the automatic is in 'Park' or 'Neutral'. By jiggling the gear shift or going to N, I was able to start it.
I hope this helps...
