I remember reading about a problem similar to this one. The fix was unplugging the ABS. After that the FICM was able to be programmed. I dont recall much other info. But its certainly worth a try. I believe the main connector on the ABS unit itself was unplugged.
Well i spoke to php tonight. Tried to trouble shoot over the phone but couldnt come up with much of anything. Tried moving cord around. Also, mentioned anything in line with the pcm could interfere such as an edge juice with atitude. I couldnt find any evidance of one of those being on the truck, pcm cables look factory. Could there be anything alse getting in the way? If all else fails php does have a dealer about 45 min away i could try to get to on Saturday if they are open.
your SCT talks to the PCM, that proves it's not the OBD port. No codes present for the FICM, I would say its talking to the PCM... PHP cord or programmer from my perspective.
I was down to my local PHP dealer here in the Hanover area this Saturday it's either a bad cord or bad programmer as his plugged in and works right away
