Don't worry the tuner is easy to use. When you program your truck with the new tune the tuner will store the stock one. To put the stock tune back in you plug the tuner in, select program vehicle and select return to stock. To program the tuner you need to go to sctflash.com and download live load to your laptop. You use that to transfer the files onto the tuner. Name each tune as you go. Before you program your tuner you should plug the tuner into your truck and select "read strategy" and write that number down. That's basically you trucks stock tuning. You can use that to get more "customized" tunes.
I have the sct xcalibrator 2. tunes by Tadd at elite-diesel.

Your tuner is newer so you may not have to download live load like I did. You should be able to hook up to your computer and transfer your files. Provided he emailed them to you and you saved them to your computer. You might have to do an update at sctflash.com through the tech support. You'll need to enter the serial number that's on the back of your device.

I had to do the update on SCT's site before loading the tunes onto the tuner. I had trouble doing the update, however. The computer I used didn't want to cooperate. I called SCT customer support and they walked me through a different process, using the start menu, to update the device. They also helped me load the tunes as I was worried about messing something up. I probably really didn't need the customer support after updating but they were helpful anyway and walked me through it while on the phone. Good customer support. I recommend you call them for help.
