Tried loading a tune on my FICM this morning with a loaner from PHP.
Got this error message each time I tried.
Error Code: d1 try again.
Any thoughts? they are not open on weekends and would like to get taken care of today/tomorrow to be able to run it before I need to send back tuner. I did try returning my SCT to stock but same results.
Correct the SCT for the PCM and PHP for the FICM. I did return to stock after it would not connect while tuned with my SCT. This of course assumes that my truck was not tuned when I purchased 3 years ago used from a ford dealer.
we're talking two different tuners, so to not be confused. Your PCM is stock and you're assuming it was from the dealer. You loaded the SCT PCM tuner and then had a problem with the FICM tuner... it kept failing.
Your FICM is stock and now your PCM is stock as well? <<<<< start right here.
Now try the FICM tuner again. If it still fails, you could try another tune from the PHP tuner, like the tow tune. The Atlas 80 is a heavy tune, don't put the Hercules on, if your not studded and all that, it could hurt the truck. If the FICM tuner works on tow or the Atlas 40, then load the SCT tune.
OK, so at this point, I believe both PCM and FICM to be stock. The PHP FICM tuner will not connect to the truck, just the error message above. I personally have never had anything done with the FICM.
did they send any other tunes for the PHP devise or the cord from the SCT tuner fit by chance? Anybody near you with an Edge devise... as that's what PHP uses for a tuner (or they did)... could just be a bad cord.
Well my SCT cord does not come out of the tuner. I can't even get to a point to try and load a tune for the FICM but it does power on and go through the key on, off, on cycle, that's when the error shows up
is the FICM stock appearing when you look at it? Could have been replaced at some point but you may never know, unless it looks like a new unit or has a sticker on it.
Not much you can do if it doesn't talk to the tuner.
Right, as I know it's stock. No stickers on it from our popular friends here and I know from pulling the oasis report that the previous owner did work at dealerships.
