Well damn, Every one is giving mods but, most everybody actually gave more than one mod per post! Given what has already been added to our beast I would add some bead locks so you can run lower air pressure for better bite. And some K/C's

OK...here's my heretical mod:

Trade it in for a 2000 Hummer.

Price: $40-45000.

(hey, it counts as a single mod!)

WHAT? A FREAKING PEICE OF ***** HUMMER? I'd like to have a hummer, Just not the type you drive. Well I guess you could grb it by the ears and steer. Any way, 40- 45000? Were? Is it wrecked? Does it have a motor? Man don't you know real trucks are built, not bought? Seriously though, Hummers are cool, there not a ford but, there cool. However, They still get stuck. A LOT! My freind was in desert storm. He said they spent many hours going around just unsticking stuck HUMMERS that framed out on sand dunes. Freakin sand! They are quit the machine though. Well providing that there in low range before you get stuck. Or on the military version any way as they are not truely 4 wheel until you actually engage low crawl mode. But My bud said that theres been more than one time in the service during maneuvers that some one would get stuck before they engaged the low crawl. When they tried to engage the low, It wouldn't engage all the way. So you see. there's just a lot of cool gadgets on it and a descent amount of ground clearance. A ford doesn't need all those gadgets. Thats why the boys at the blue oval never made them an option! Wake up man, Read the writing on the wall!

Dwedell, although I found your post to be both dead on and hilarious, don't be surprised if it ends up edited by Ryan. Gotta be pc in here, believe me I know. Ken doesn't like using $ instead of S. Just trying to help a brother out

To any and all it may concern, I now appologize for my childish actions! And I should probably appologize in advance in case I slip up in the future. But, In my defense, this is a ford site! He started it(ha,ha).

Oh, I don't think it was childish, I thought it was pretty accurate and funny to boot. Yea, mzimmers knew it was coming, thus the "heretical" mod. As a member that frequently causes stink eye in our esteemed mods, just thought I'd give you the heads up. I deserve a cookie or a phreakin gold star or something...maybe I'm just getting respectable.

i challenege you against this! E4OD sucks! ZF 6speed from a later model superduty will suffice!

j-yard tranny... $300
sell the E4OD for $200
so you just spent $100 for a tranny

You obviously have never driven a truck with a BTS E40D.

There are BTS E40D's handling well over 1000hp out there behind diesels and gassers alike.

A ZF-6 will need a lot of work to take that kind of power, i.e. no dual mass flywheel on engine, stronger synchros, etc.

gee yea, lemme sink $3000 into an E4OD when my ZF 5 speed will handle serious weight all day long (it does very often). i understand what your saying and i agree to a point

i was thinking more in the cost range.... but if you're not thinking cost wise then i can think of a hundred different combos that would be hella sweet!

You can spend just as much if not more on building up a handshaker to take that kind of power as well.
