We would at least maybe never break an axle with this truck if they were to use it which I hope they do because it is kind of a waste to make 4x4's highway queens thats what 2wd is for.

This is just me but I think we should swap the auto for one of those 6 speed manuals with granny and overdrive. (Super Duty tranny?)

The ZF 6 speed! I love mine. The grannie saves me from having to re-gear with 38's. It's still lower than first was with the stock tires! At least it feels like it.

i think the lift is way to high to use it off road, i think it should be a lower lift with the finders cut to fit the biggest tires. and yea 6-speed sounds nice.

Put a 4.88 axle ratio in. Can't help you on the cost.

Just my opinion but I think 5.13 would be ideal, with Detroit lockers front and rear!

If you ever been stuck in ruts so deep you could lose a Jap truck in them in Oregon you'd appreciate the 49" tires. This is a truck that could really be used for the type of wheelin' around here. Maybe not rockcrawling though

hey i am all for 49" tires! just i think it would help to keep the truck as low as possible. ground clearance is only as good as the tires anyways. i say cut all the metal out front, get rid of the bed in the back, or hack it up alot, then see how muck lift is absolutly nessisary for those tires.

with 49'' tires its going to need the Rockwells low 6.72 gear ratio. but I say we go with 52" michiliens.

It will also need four wheel steering.
