Spin on filter conversion for ft engine

Hi all. I have a 330hd and it has a cartridge type oil filter on it. It seems pretty hard to find a filter to fit so I'd like to convert it to a spin on type filter.. Is there a spin on filter mount from another engine that I can swap in possibly the one from another fe engine?

Subscribed. I would think YES a regular FE oil filter extension would work, but let's hear from some people who have actually done it.

My '78 F600 with FT 361 uses a spin on filter. That's the way I bought it, so there must be an adapter/extension available.

"IF" the FE will work on the FT be sure to find an original part. The after market parts have a bad reputation, the after market ones for Y blocks have caused nothing but leaks and headaches for almost everyone who has tried them..

Ford FT 330,361,391 all use the same spin on filter adapter that's used on Ford cars with the filter turned down, if your using this engine in a pickup use the 352,360,390 pickup adapter that points the filter straight out to the left side.
