if you end up chopping off the last few feet of the running boards let me know, I can use about 12" to add to my standard cab running boards. The ones on my 47 had brackets welded to the end and chopped up pretty good. The rest of the running board is in great shape. I have a set on my 42 parts truck that the rear end is good but I would like to go 12" longer since my truck will have a tank on the back and no bed.

Made a bit more progress this week.
got the rear end out, cleaned the box out (removed metal pan and the wood), got the running boards removed.
Went to swap meet today and found a 57" Ford 9" diff with big bearing axles.
going to try and remove the leaf spring next week.
I believe the old diff is a Eton ho72 from what i could research on google.
