That appears to be normal, green coolant... big NO-NO for diesel trucks. That's got to go and the sooner, the better... it's full of silica (the stuff that clogs oil coolers).
Your going to need to flush that and then go with EC-1 rated coolant.
Black stuff in CAC boot, normal. The CCV is routed into the intake just before the turbo.
If you didn't drain some off, it will sit there...coolant in the housing
Thank you so much for the reply! I know the coolant is not right. I am doing a flush once I get it running!
Is it normal for the coolant to just sit pooled up there?
I just did my thermostat a couple months back. I'm trying to remember, I don't recall coolant spilling out or polling there. I'm not sure what that would mean though or if its an issue. I wish I could tell you forsure i just can't remember.
That's right if you drain part of the coolant it won't be there otherwise it will.
Alright guys...is it ok to buy an ebay EBP sensor harness? I have read that Ford does not sell just the harness for the EBP but it is tied in with everything else. Too risky?
Any tips on how to get the darn hose off the T-stat? Seems to be caked on and I felt like it would tear if I jammed a screwdriver in there.
Also, is there really a point to an OEM harness?! It's just wire...I want to return it and use a harness off of Ebay. I can see why the EBP sensor itself should be factory...but geez...$88 for a harness seems excessive, even for a dealership. Also, the colors don't match up on the harness to what I have in the truck, but there are 3 wires that i will be matching up using common sense.
Should I return the harness and save some money with a different brand harness/pigtail??
General update on the repairs:
I changed the fuel filter and fuse for the FASS Fuel Pump. The ground connection at the battery was quite frayed and had lost quite a few wires. I redid that and also properly butt spliced a new 30amp inline fuse into the power. I turned the truck to "on" just to hear some life out of it (I miss my truck...) and the FASS started pumping, still loud as hell but definitely sound different from before. Hopefully the fuel filter was an issue and no longer one.
You'll hate me but i bought my ebp sensor from ebay pretty cheap
It was however an oem piece make in Mexico. Did take a good bit of searching to find it though and i wouldn't recommend buying one from ebay to anyone.
