Post-buzz is a flash in certain FICM's. Could it be that this other FICM that you tried has the post-buzz flash on it (that causes the injectors to buzz for around 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off) and that your original FICM has a logic board issue that presents itself with missing when things get hot?
I'd suggest taking the FICM out of your truck that causes the miss when hot and transfer the FICM to another good-running 6.0 (regardless of model year, any PowerStroke-programmed FICM will start and run any other PowerStroke regardless of model year), and see if the issue follows the FICM.
Here is the long winded version. Went through the entire HPO system and sealed up a few items, removed the injector harness, removed the main harness and Checked every single connection with an ohm meter. Everything checked out. and the problems persisted. This morning I flashed the PCM and the FICM with the latest flash and all of its problems went away.
My big question is how did the PCM get corrupted, or loose its programming. My best guess would be that it is on its way out. 2 days of having the batteries disconnected and everything goes to hell. The truck is fixed and runs perfect now. But I believe there is a time bomb ticking somewhere in there. Any thoughts?
