Chip tuner questions

So lately I've been have electronic issues, I think it's my ts chip. When I try to hit the peddle hard or have it to the floor sometimes the check engine light will come on and even with my foot on the floor the engine will go to idle. Do I need a new tuner? Any recomended tuner?

Maybe remove the chip and see how the truck acts? That is what I would do.

As for recommendations... Everyone has an opinion on this and my opinion is GearHead. Do some research and read, read and read more. You are spending your own money and your own time, so do the research so that you are not wasting either.

Sous has offered sage advice on both removing your current chip and the future purchase from GH if you need to make one.

After you remove your chip, do you have any way of monitoring/logging data such as RPM's, Boost, FIPW, IPRDC%, Baro, MAP, ICP, Fuel Pressure, EGT, and etc?

Posting the above info and allowing us to take a look is the best way for us to help you.

Some excellent advice above, both with the author of the tunes and pulling your present set up. As mentioned run your truck stock, get some numbers together and post them here. You want to make sure that your truck is running 100% before delving down the rabbit hole and possibly introducing new and potentially worse issues.

Pull the code first. The check engine light means a code was set. The code will tell you what's happening.

After you do what Curtis and Sous said, come back here and let us know. I am going to log my guess as Throttle Position sensor.
