Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm snow.......... Took my dog for a short walk before work and good god was she happy. Let her run around in the field off leash for a few min and she promptly flopped down and started rolling around in it lol.
I thought about installing one of those, but since they don't make one specifically for the AC Wildcat Trail model, I would need to do some fabrication. While I don't mind the fabrication when I have my full shop to work in, it is rather difficult here where I have only a few tools. Well, that on top of the $400 price tag is what's holding me back..
My back has been giving me problems for the last five years or so and flares up a few times a year.. Now is that time.
I really should get in to see a real doctor rather than a Chiro..
I've never tried a chiropractor, my insurance doesn't cover them. I had a fusion surgery in '07 that made some things better, but some got worse.
I'm in the radiology waiting room at the moment for an MRI of the offending region. Good times.
Ugh....
I hate the idea of messing with the spine... My dad had a Quack Chiropractor ruin his back in the 60's and he ended up having to have surgery to try and repair the damage done by the quack.. He's lucky he was not paralyzed from that episode.
I just made an appointment for 10 am at a local Chiro and we'll see what he can do.
I just hate all the high pressure sales tactics they use for return visits... You get the "well, this is just step one of a multi-week treatment plan that will increase your strength in this region ... BS Schpiel.."....
I went to the doctor for my back and got nothing bad bad info. Went to a chiropractor for 4 days straight and haven't felt better in years. Everything the doctor told me to do was wrong.
The chiropractor I went to was really honest about whether he could help or not. He wasn't like what you said either Randy. He said, "4 days you'll be good. If you tweak it again, you come back. If not, you don't." He works next door to me wife and is the best out there. But the reason I never went is because like you say, pressure sales and BS...
The problem is finding a good Chrio. I have been going to one on and off as needed for many years. He has never pressured me into coming back. He will say that he might recommend coming back a second time but that is it. After that he always leaves it up to me.
Edit: Yep Dave has found a good one. The one I go to was the one my dad always has used so luckily I never had to go through the mess of the sales pitch by the other ones.
We just got back to the camper from the Chiropractor... Filled out nine miles of paperwork, sat in front of a compter screen and answered most of the questions that were on the paperwork, was brought to a room where I watched a 15 min video on proper back therapy and regular visits.. Saw the "Doc?" And told him where it hurt, how long etc.. I told him that I just wanted an adjustment. He said first we had to do Xrays and then a short therapy session. He did the digital Xrays which showed up on his screen. He didn't say anything much but brought me to a therapist gal that put what looked like TENS pads on my lower back and had me lay on a massage table that had a rather annoying thing rotating under it that pushed on my upper to mid back.. 20 mins later she tells me that I would need to come back on Friday to see the "Doctor" to read the Xrays and do any needed adjustments... I felt no better or worse than when I went there... Grrrrr.....
Phuqkit....
They got their $80 out of me and that's it...
Tylenol and taking it easy is what Doctor Randy just prescribed.... I have no plans of going back there...

That sucks Randy! I have never had an x-ray taken at the Chiro. He doesn't even have a machine to do that. I walk in and tell him where it hurts and he does the adjustment. Normally from the time I park and walk in and have the treatment and walk back out is about 20 minutes depending on if he is behind or not.
I love when they ask you the same questions as what you have just filled out when you go to the doctor/dentist/ or whatever other quack you happen to be seeing.
