That would reduce the weight savings from the use of Aluminum substantially.
Also - it was not clear if that 300# savings was on the Crewcab, SuperCab or Regular cab.

Wish list --

HEADLIGHTS are the biggest thing I can think of. Why does the best truck mfgr have the worst road lighting?

Seletable tune - This is a pipe dream, but it would sure be nice if we could dial back that 440 HP to maybe 300 HP when not towing. That alone could increase fuel economy..

ECO-BOOSTED 6.2 --- They'd sell a ton of them if the option was say 1/2 that of the diesel... Another pipe dream of mine.

Cruise Control off the steering wheel... Ford should embrace a standard across all their vehicles. Also a digital speed representation of what speed the CC is set for. Heck my wife's 19k Focus has all this...

Diesel Supplemental Cabin Heat - should come standard with the diesel engine option.

Side-step for the truck bed - AMP has a really nice product with BedStep (I have one on the back of my truck) ... Ford should license this or do their own for the side of the bed..

Headlights are going to be better. Quad-LED lamps are available, just like on the F-150. I'd say best in class. I'd also venture than the standard halogen ones are going to improve as well, but we'll see. I agree, current setup is less than ideal.

I think there already is a "selectable tune" available...its called the accelerator pedal.

Eco-Boost 6.2L would be putting out probably in the neighborhood of 500bhp and 700lb-ft. That would most likely kill the diesel for all but the heaviest haulers. If it had a CGI block and HD internals, I'd be in.

Cruise Control. Personally, I love the controls location of the cruise on the Super Duty...very handy, falls to the finger. The 2009-2014 F-150 had it in a bad location on the wheel, in my opinion. A set speed readout would be nice, and is common on many cars (my 2 previous VW's had them). However, its not a major gripe for me.

Supplemental cabin heat. Well, that "option" is actually included free of charge in "cold weather states." My truck was bought in VT and included it for nothing. Nevertheless, that feature could be improved. In very cold weather the heater barely does anything. Fan speed can only be run at less than 1/2 or the incoming cold air overwhelms the heater. It is better than nothing, but I'd like to see the electric core double in size or wattage, whatever it takes.

Side-steps, I have no opinion.

The new F-150s with the Adaptive Cruise Control show your set speed. That feature is extremely nice. I never touched the gas or brake pedal on a 40 mile stretch on interstate.

I wanted to see how well it did, so I allowed it to take me from 75mph all the way down to 15mph when traffic slowed. It stayed 2-3 car links from the car in front and when I put it in the next lane to go around, it sped back up to 75.

At first I didn't like it on my wife's SUV but now that I'm used to it, it is indeed a great feature. The only problem is, the more vehicles with front radar to run adaptive cruise and collision avoidance, the more times a day my radar detector goes off...

That ought to be high on the cool factor since tours are not available.

A "real" time frame of when we can expect to order and see on the floors the DRW's 350 and 450

Differences between the 350 DRW and 450

And once again - I just a wee bit jealous

I talked to a gentleman on the 6.7 Facebook page. He is the day shift production supervisor for the chassis cab/dually line. I'll pick his brain if I run into him

Seat of the pants performance compared to the current 6.7.

Chassis stiffness compared to the current trucks

Leaf springs setup. Will they squat like the current trucks

Ride compliance compared to current trucks

What's everyone's opinion on the looks. Excluding the fan boys

Thanks in advance.....

Add me to the jealous column too.

Troy's questions are mine too... Besides your overall impression of it.

I will say that I would like a supplemental heater I could manually turn on, even if it turns off like the rear defroster does. The engineers definition of cold and mine are not the same. And sometimes in sub zero temps, the outside air overwhelms the regular heater core in the truck too. Maybe they just need an arctic edition.

I would be interested to know if the new frame eliminates the rear end bounce at 40-45 mph that my truck has (still!).

Hey guys, just landed from KTP and arrived home. All I can say at the moment is WOW! In my short years on this Earth, my marriage and children being born are my top memories followed by my collegiate baseball career. These past two days pushed my college ball days to 4th! Incredible what goes on there.

I plan on getting as much info to you guys as alloted, but I will have to verify what I am and aren't allowed to disclose. Once I talk to a couple of wonderful people from Ford, I will start the "Q&A" stuff.

Cheers!

Here's one you can answer for sure. Base on what you've seen, are you buying one?
