I think we need to be cautious to not become paranoid or needlessly have it affect our world when people post horror stories about similar engines or vehicles as the ones we own. Sure, we feel empathy for their plight, but remember, 80% of folks who post on these sites, only post negative comments. (Just look at the list of subjects) It's human nature to lean negative, but are not indicative of any issues you'll ever see.
I agree and would agree more if this was one guy with one truck. Like the instances of Pappy and Scraprat. 2 guys with different failures. Not 1 guy with many similar failures.
We have a 2012 V10 F-450 at work with 28k on it. So far it's been nothing but perfect. Very odd being only 2013 trucks. I have not received any info back from the contacts I inquired to about their failures yet. But I know they(various fleets) have a ton of 2011-2016 V10s.
I'm not even close to an expert but looks like an oil supply issue or maybe a material problem like hardness, composition, or surface finishing. I'm still curious what changed in '12/'13?
Just another quick note and reminder... These are high Idle time units... some have over 3000 engine hours on them already. But once again, not this kind of failure rates in the 2011's, under the exact same working conditions.

Makes me really wonder about oil pump, pickup, sump, and filter potential changes.

My v10 company truck has mid 5k hours on it with no problems, but it is a 2011. There is a 2014 in my work group, but no problems with it as of yet.
In the last picture what is the cast peace with the bad seal?
And is it just the camera or maybe just me but are some of the other follower bearings bluish like they were hot?
I did some searching and it appears that that is exactly what it is and if the seal is compromised oil pressure to the cam and associated parts will be compromised.
Is this the common find on the engines????
Edit, I meant on Fleetguy48138's truck Engine problems...

This is what I'm thinking too after seeing that tensioner seal, unless it was damaged on removal. I wonder where the roller on that rocker arm went.
