Help! Front End alignment after rebuild- caster issue
I just replaced everything in the front suspension on my 2001 S-Crew 4X2 except the pitman arm. Everything else is Moog premium stuff. I assembled everything just as I removed it (truck had 181,000 miles and ball joints were toast) and took it down to the alignment shop when it was done. Now the issue- even with the new caster/camber washers installed they can get no more than +2.7° of caster? The range is +5.2° to +7.2°, with +6.2° as the preferred setting. My truck is sitting at +2.7° and it's all over the road as it follows all the irregularities in the pavement. Surely there's a way to get the caster back? I'm ready to contact Moog and see what is up with this. I'd appreciate any input!
