Wire hookup ?
On a 2016 F350 Dually what is the color of the reverse backup light wire? I am mounting two rear bumper backup LED lights and need to hook into this wire. Thanks.

the plug for the trailer lights, has a reverse light position.
I believe you could tap into that , from the back of the plug.
You could also remove the tail light, and see what color the wire for that light is ...
Just saying, it would have taken less time, than to post the question.

On my truck I have installed a LED Light Bar that flashes brake lights, running lights, turn signals and yes even white LED reverse lighting. I tapped all of the lights except the reverse lights into the trailer harness wiring. The reverse lights I pulled the driver side tail light and tapped into the reverse light wire at that point. I did the same with my lighted back up alarm.
The tail light is an easy pull to get to the wires. If I recall there are a couple of small bolt head screws and they you pull with some strength to get the housing to release from the rubber grommets. First time I had to use a screw driver to pry out the tail light housing. If you do that make sure to either wrap tape around the screw driver or a rag or piece of card board to protect the paint of the truck you pry against. There are a few good youtube videos that maybe of help.
The wire is a pretty thin wire so I would use care not to try to pull too much power off of it.
Don't worry about asking any questions that may seem obvious to others. That's what the forum and members are here for.

Also worth noting it's the center pin of the plug.

Set the relay in the tail lite well and hooked up to the tail light backup wire. All is good to go. Thanks for the time, info, insight, & patience.
