Not easily, you'd need an adapter plate to get it on the engine (nobody makes them, would need to be custom), and a stand alone electronic controller (expensive).
For about the same cost as all that, you can get a gear vendors unit brand new. Or pray and get lucky at a junkyard or online.
You can put ANY transmission in your truck that you want. Some are easy, some are hard. Given enough time and money I can make ANY transmission work. How much do you want to spend? An E4OD is going to be expen$ive for the reasons explained above.

Pretty much... but how deep is your pocket? Mixing and matching requires capital.... a minimum of $800 just to marry an FE to a non-application AT trans, then add a controller (budget $800), accoutrements ($250), plus the cost of the tranny and TQ converter.
I think it is Performance Automatic that sells a complete system for a 4R70W for about $5,000.
I know this not for everyone but why not but in a chev 700R4 auto. There strong to take some hp and cheap. Put one in this car rebuilt,stall converter and adapter kit for 2300.00 Canadian.
If you mean for the 700R4 the kit comes with the flex plate and you use the original starter. The 700R4 is half the price to put in compared to any Ford trans.
