Ok so working up getting some stuff together and going to order parts in the next couple of weeks I want to make sure I have the right size tools since I'll be heading to the inlaws concrete floored garage to take care of the f350 and Explorer at the same time. I'm only asking since i have to load up what I need and take it over and don't want to do like I did with the delete and take about everything I own. So what size impact sockets and wrenches do I need?
send me a reminder message later in today or tonight and I
should be able to say what size. New kit "should" be here later
today is the tracking system is not screwed up.

Ready for some fun? Been cleaning my little slice of the mess.
For some reason someone wants to park the Mini Cooper
in there> I can do that. BUT then she wants to take it out and
drive it. Now why do you have a garage if you can't fill it up?
If a car was meant to be parked under a roof it would come with
one when you signed the papers. Plus the Mini is so small it might
get lost in there with all the tools.

You know that you can almost get a car in there. Just don't let her know that

Now on to the job at hand. It's the lower ball joint that is the true PITA. The long smaller one is the upper
joint tool. The larger one with the recessed edge is the one for the lower joint.

NOTE : I have one more tool to get my hands on. It is used for seating the newer dust seal . As soon as I
have it in my hands I'll post some info in this thread. then this weekend I get to beat up on my truck.
Hope this helps you and any others that happen to look.
BTW The blue box came from Amazon. It's Astro Pneumatic 7868 Master Ball Joint Adapter Set

P.S. If you are going to use the new style dust seals you will need to remove
the rust from the axel shaft. I found a 2" right angle die grinder with a
red twist=loc pad did a very nice job. I did an extra step and removed all the grease
from the metal, tapes the places I wanted clean and then painted with a good high
gloss paint. But how ever you do it the shaft has to be clean and some grease in the
seal to let it slide home. Yes Ford Blue
