You haven't truly lived until you've spent 2 hours building gauges off of the FTE PID list and just when you get to the last line of the last Pid.....You find out the power cord wasn't plugged in and your Battery runs out. Good Times
There are a few "stock" PIDs in the list, and writing a custom PID gives you an alternative choice. Is it possible you selected the wrong PID for the gauge?

I just looked and I probably did add the stock Torque PID. I'll change it and see what happens tonight. Thank again!
Just got the TorquePro app on my Samsung it seems to connect OK through the Bluetooth adapter & I have set it to the correct protocol (J1850-PWM) but I'm struggling with the PIDs, I have the default display reading OK, apart from the coolant (-40) which I gather doesn't work with auto trans, but I have gone through most of the PIDs from the predefined set & they all come up "no data". I've also added TorqueScan which is supposed to search & display a list of available sensors but that doesn't bring up anything other than the Acceleration sensor, Barometer (on Android device) & Voltage (OBD Adapter). I'm no techie so I'm probably overlooking something simple, any ideas?

I wonder about your bluetooth adapter. My 1999.5 worked fine with the one I bought. Even without adding the PIDS that Tugly has I got some to work on mine. It's been a few months set I set mine up from scratch though.
I have looked for better ones (more expensive!) but many seem to be the same part at ten times the price, even using the same photos, so how do you tell how good it is?

When you find one not cloned, has easy-to-find support, and enough positive reviews by members with the same vehicle as yours.
I have done some searching & ordered one of the Scantool MX adapters I found a UK supplier through the Scantool website, should be here in a couple of days, I'll let you know how it goes!
Thanks Tugly
This is the one I bought for my Ford Edge and works great. It was the recommend one in the Edge forums. I am just getting the truck running again so I haven't connected it to it yet but it has worked fine on everything else. I haven't played with any custom PIDs though either.

I haven't heard anything negative on the BAFX yet. Their sales pitch is "We have more components on the board than the other guys - so theirs is going to fail and ours won't". I'm sorry... for 20 bucks, it's still a clone. Maybe the best clone out there... but a clone. The panda on the CD is a nice touch.
There are something like 5000 positive reviews on this device, so I'd guess it's a good unit. If you get one, can you take an 8-second video of the screen while moshing the go pedal? I'd like to see how well the gauges react.
One thing I was thinking if we are all on a standardized set of gauges here it would help when it comes to diagnosing issues. I have seen many times folks have issues myself included on that, when it comes to this or that and not having the right data understandable by knowledgeable Powerstroke guru's.
My Bafx is almost 6 months old, and it's worked flawlessly on my 02/ 7.3, My neighbors 96/7.3, My Son's 01/ Explorer, and I just got it to hook up to my other neighbors 2012 6.7 yesterday....so far so good. Oh, and I dislike Pandas, so I threw the disk away..

Like Coax9952, I have had mine for 7 months now and have never had an issue with it. It has been plugged into my Edge for 7 months continuously now.
Glad to know it works on the Super Duties as well, thanks Coax9952!
