I assume a lot of people with Broncos have the same problem with their window washer pump and reservoir. I haven't used mine in forever because it leaks out and I didn't have time to look into the issue. But now I've the time and here's what I'm finding out.
I bought a new reservoir and a new pump from Oreilly's and when I put them together and filled up the reservoir it still leaked.
So I'm going to try putting some clear silicone sealant around the pump and see if that solves the leak issue.
Anyone else tried something similar or something different?
Am I pushing the motor too far into the reservoir?
I did use graphite lubricant per the instructions, doesn't seem to make any difference.
It's been a long while but I recall this being very simple and mine didn't require any additional sealing.. but then again I was using an original reservoir with an aftermarket pump. Wonder if it's possible that it leaks because of inconsistencies in the aftermarket parts? Just a guess.
