Anyone know of a aftermarket dual tank manual valve ?

Anyone know of a aftermarket dual tank manual valve ?
For my 67 Ford f250 ?

I have had the truck sit, due to a carb problem a year, and I noticed the valve between the rear and front tank is stiff very stiff, makes me wonder if I use the switch it might leak. I was thinking of going to and electric valve but would like to stay stock with the manual one, anyone know if they make these or of a OEM replacement ?

The other thought was just eliminating the front tank behind the seat and run only the rear.

Thoughts appreciated.

Here's an electric switch if you strike out with a manual switch:

Thanks guys that thread was helpful. Hmm never thought of a ball valve, I am seriously now thinking after reading that article of removing the front tank and installing a new poly rear since its already setup for one minus a new sending unit. Lots to think about.

Note first always check shipping fees as some sellers think they are selling gold.

I took a look in my stash and I have an electric valve like the one in the second post. Looks like now I have a few options to think about. More I think about it I cant see using dual tanks and am liking that poly setup the 2nd post showed. Good stuff

Question 3-Way Gas Tank Valve... Questions

Orich,

Does this Seaway valve have the right mounting and orientation?

Does anyone know why the old valves get so darn hard to turn? Mine is nearly impossible to turn without an additional tool. It isn't used much, but was turned dozens of times a year.

Did you forget how old it is It's like most people ran the frame tank dry and only used the cab tank unless going on vacation or the price of gas came way down and the filled every tank up then.
Those gas valves did not get used very often maybe a few times a yr.

Plus no more leaded gas to keep it working..

Every valve, I checked at PnP Junk yard is hard or frozen.
I could not find a good one and picked one up at the flea-market $4.00 new.

They look to all mount about the same as many times as I seem them.

1967/72 F100/350 with in-cab tank and factory installed 25 gallon auxiliary fuel tank have a manually operated fuel tank selector valve located adjacent to the drivers side of the seat.

Underneath the dash to the left of the steering column mounted to a bracket is the fuel tank selector switch, but it only switches the dash fuel gauge from one tank to the other.

Inside the bed is a shield to protect the auxiliary tank fuel filler tube from possible cargo damage.

Note: There were TWO different fuel tank selector valves used in 1967 F100/350's. The serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN

C1TZ-9189-B .. Fuel Tank Selector Valve / Obsolete ~ 34 available NOS

1967 F100/350 before serial number A70,001 / 1961/69 F800/1100 with saddle tanks / 1963/69 N/NT500/1100 with saddle tanks / 1967/72 F700/750 with saddle tanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C7TZ-9189-B (replaced C7TZ-9189-A) .. Fuel Tank Selector Valve / Obsolete ~ No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

1967 F100/350 from serial number A70,001 / 1968/69 F100/350.

I just go down to Napa and ask for one. They have 2 and 3 way versions - but we happen to have a very, very good parts guy.
