Hi I have purchased this truck from a friend who bought from nick I tried contacting him as well no luck if any one is interested in this truck it is for sale or trade
He posted a for sale ad on this forum for $28,000. It appears to be the exactly the same where this build thread left off. Too bad - looks like Nick was doing a great job. Just not sure why 53f1yote (or his friend that purchased it) doesn't finish it.
What did you search on ebay? I don't see it in the completed listings.
here's the listing #232417898611, but it doesn't want to work now, but I got from looking at "completed listings" much better pictures right here though. on ebay, doesn't look so great. on here, WOW!
Ah, that's why I couldn't find it - I was looking for a 1953. This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.
Are you sure this is the same truck? The ebay listing is a 1956 and seems to be listed by the builder. Located in Wilkesboro, North Carolina whereas Nicholas+ is listed as Buffalo, NY. Was curious if the truck was still in NY. Was contemplating a potential trade deal if the current owner was interested in something already done.
1956 Ford F100-Project
The engine is from a 2012 Mustang Coyote I bought at least 2 years ago, and has the original 6 speed manual transmission. Currently no drive shaft, nor engine controller. The front end has a Heidts Independent Front suspension and the rear has a Mustang Cobra rear independent rear suspension, The fame was fully boxed. The front brakes are from Baer and are 6 piston with 15" rotors, the rear are stock Mustang Cobra disc. Comes with 4 new 20" Carrol Shelby wheels and 4 new Michelin tires.
The cab has had a 5" extension, thru the doors, floor and roof as well as adding the 5" in the frame so that the bed can stay stock. Door handles are from Kindig and are installed and function well. Rear fenders are molded in, and have inside wheel covers also molded in and allow for the wider wheels and tires. All major metal work has been done, some parts such as the new custom front inner fenders are not installed but are included. Bumpers are custom made "bumperettes" and look similar to the 60's Corvette bumpers front and rear. Comes with two nearly new bucket seats. Comes with steering column and parts need to install the steering, less wheel.
The bed has all the stainless parts needed for installation and the wood is ready for the last coat of finish. The wood I selected was Zebra wood.
Dash needs some work. Still needs drive shaft, wiper motor, brake and clutch booster, etc., head lights and components, front running lights or turn signals, gauges, wiring harness. Mostly some body work, paint and assembly left to do.
This truck had previously sold by me on eBay, however I could not finish the truck as promised, so I bought it back. it is being sold "as is, where is and when is".
I'm saddened that Nicholas hasn't been around, a fabulous fabricator. Seems strange he would abandon a project this far along. I sincerely hope he is all right health wise and not the reason it was given up..
I know this is an old thread, but has this truck or Nick ever re-appeared? This was one of my favorite builds on here. Would like to see how it turned out.
