The radiator is a salvage yard replacement (has a tag on it) so that should be good. But I believe the consensus on transmissions coolers when debris is involved is to just replace it?

Maybe there are a few broken studs and since there is no write up how to remove them with the heads off he is installing it and following along with the write ups for stud removal.
I put oil in it today, then 7 quarts of trans fluid, then looked around for a battery and finally came up with the only spare around out of the parts car but it needs a charge. I don't think it will have enough umph even at full charge though since it is only rated at 550 cranking amps warm. lol
