Door lock switch switches falling off

I have a brand new F350. On its maiden voyage the door lock fell into the door. This prompted me to inspect my other F350. The door lock had also fallen off. The dealer says I have to pay for the repair on the 2014 model because it is out of warranty. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thank you,
Rory

Wrong forum for this one as this is for the not yet released 2017 truck.
Though what do you mean the "door lock"?

The keylock on the door in which the door can be unlocked with a key. On both Fords the entire lock assembly dropped inside the door leaving just a hole.

They break in the lock or something? I always thought they stuck a thin slim Jim thing into the window.

Lots of ways to do it but it sounds like both his locks were punched out(in).
