Lets see those 5th wheels
I've been able to add quite a few upgrades while in the lockdown, including some Battleborn lithium batteries, Victron 3000W inverter, Victron Solar controller & battery monitor, AM Solar Smart Phase Selector (simulated shore power) and the MicroAir easy starts for two of the three AC units. That allows us to run everything when not plugged in (can even run the AC for a short period of time). Still plan on adding some additional solar panels to more quickly recharge the batteries.

We managed to limp home. No damage to the 5th wheel (inspected, at a cost to his insurance company)
The elderly gent gave us his insurance info but he didn't want our, he knew he was at fault. Ironically, after researching his name, he wrote a Flathead Indian book call "Afterlife dreams of Flathead indians". Well, he almost put himself into the afterlife!
If it were 1 second sooner we would have t-boned him and he would have been dead. His 1998 Chevy Blazer did not roll (almost) but was pushed into ditch.
Interesting enough, I always wondered how I'd react to 19,000 lbs of metal braking in an emergency situation and how I'd react. Well, I sure as hell wasn't going to go in the ditch, so it was "here we go, impact!" which ended up being roughly 35 mph by the time we braked.
Photos of damage. I took a lot of photos of the accident scene since the Sheriffs do no come to accident scenes in MT unless there is injuries or fatalities.
No one hurt. Dogs okay.

The insurance company did not total it thankfully, as the market value for a low mileage 7.3L Ford in this condition is $20-$23k.
Fast foward 5 week later.
We got Gilda back! (dads name for the 2000 F350 7.3L turbo diesel that I bought from him in 2018). She's a ripe old age of 20 years and 106,000 miles now (just broke in?)
The Ranch Hand grill guard is on backorder so she has to go back in the shop in Oct on the Indian's insurance company dime. The ranch hand is what saved the intercooler, transmission cooler and radiator from imploding. So glad I put this critter guard on back 2 years ago. Little did I know it was an indian I'd hit.
Total cost was $6000 (plus $3500 for the rental truck we used during the time) Why 5 weeks? Hartford Insurance, the insurer of the gent we hit) dropped the ball and "forgot" about the claim.
I even got a call from the head office in Connecticut apologizing for the claim agents failures.
I gave her a hot wax in the shade, put her away wet. She's happy to be home.
