Bought our Grand Designs 2020 375 RES 19 July 2019. Got the trailer, now we needed the truck. Bought 2017 F-450 Lariet CCLB 4X4 Fx4 fully loaded 8,123 miles 20 August 2019. BW Companion hitch. Love the camper, love the truck, love my wife. She went along with this idea! I'm a happy camper.
Would loved to have had a MS, but just couldn't afford it. Very nice outfit. When we trade we're going either Spacecraft, Luxe, New, Horizon or MS. But it'll be a few years.
While that's an awesome truck (and fifth); however I suspect you may need a bigger truck with that kind of pin load.
Nah, just had it weighed and the pin weight was 4500 lbs. The 450 is plenty of truck and the TrailerSaver BD5 has a 5000 lb pin weight limit. I'm good to go. This truck pulls and stops it much better than the 2017 Ram I had before.

I hear you. The wife and I retired 12 years ago and hit the road. We have had the MS for nearly 4 years now. Since we live in it full time, we wanted to have a good unit. This is a great unit. No complaints and now I have the perfect truck to haul it. I am happy.
Here's mine. 2019 F-450 attached to a 2016 Mobile Suites Atlanta, 43' long, 24,000 lbs.
I have the same truck. Out of curiosity, how much did the rear end squat when you loaded that? Ours hardly squats with our 14,000 5er. Love those MS! Someday closer to retirement one of those may be in our future.

I'm basing my comment upon several (mismatched) bits of provided data.
In another post a shopper looking at F450s said its' cargo capacity maxed out at 4500 pounds; and that's BEFORE loading passengers, a fifth wheel hitch, and all cargo.
A fifth wheel (for proper tracking) needs a minimum of 20% of its actual weight on the pin.
You stated its gross weight as 24K. 20% of that is 4800 pounds - and that's if its properly loaded on the pin (again before any passengers, hitch or cargo) are loaded on the truck.
Now you claim its measured pin weight is 4500 pounds.
Doing some reverse math says your trailer, if properly loaded at 20%, would have a gross weight of 22,500 - but again that's BEFORE allowing for passengers, hitch, or any other cargo.
OR, if it is 24K pounds with a pin weight of 4500# then it is under-loaded at 18.75%.
While I suspect your F450 will easily pull the Mobile Suites it likely is overloaded.
And yes, I'm envious.
Very nice combo. Not overloaded. But I would suspect that the drivers license maybe overloaded.. I would like something similar (mobile suites) if we ever decided to sell.
I was picking up my fifth wheel After some warranty work. They were making a commercial and asked if they could use my truck and trailer in it.
2018 Open Range 2910 RL. It’s 32ft and weighs 8200 dry and yes two air conditioners ahhh.

Nice! Almost forgot about that one since we haven't been there in many years. We liked the sites backed to the lake but they were tough to get. My wife loved the climb up to get to that campground (not really). Make sure you checkout Bushkill falls while you're there.

Nice looking truck and 5th wheel . I think I may have looked at that truck awhile back if you bought it in White Settlement ? I'm looking at getting a 2020 450 and just put money down on a 38' New Horizon . I love the color of your truck I have a 2016 f150 KR in that same color , I maybe going Red this time but may stick with the two tone .
