What about with a 10.2 CR?
If that's the case, I'm gonna get headers and new Pipes ASAP!
Got any idea what the ideal primary tube size is? 1-3/4?

i tried 10.0 very little change (like 5-7hp) with that cam and stock exhaust manifolds she just can't breath right . Get the headers , I think you will be very happy with the added HP for little $$ and time .

You guessed almost perfectly. 2.04/1.65 for the 2V heads.
The 4V heads were HUGE.
2.19/1.71.

so you have 2V heads ? i'll make change and run again , probably won't make much difference.
last 351c I dealt with was in early 90s , my dad had it and we were going to put it in a 65 Econoline pickup , that would have been one fun ride .

After a lot of browsing the forums and looking online. It is rumored that 71-73 mustang headers will fit the truck and Cleveland engine.
Hedman's long tubes are $212
Hooker's are $246
hedman has the more desirable 1-5/8" tubes compared to Hooker 1-3/4".

Don't forget you will have to "tune" the carb again after opening up your exhaust.
Why are the hedmans more desirable? Piping routing for clearances?

Smaller primary tubes, better suited/sized for my purposes and engine.

The carb will have to be tuned richer a couple settings I've heard.
