Hate, hate, hate the styling of the 2017 Super Duty. It looks like they remade it in the image of its little brother, the F150. Front end looks like it had its nose punched in! This is going to be one of the great design disasters. Perhaps to rival the 2004 BMW 5 Series fiasco. Look up some pictures of that POS. That said, this does make me feel GREAT about my current F350!
It really shouldn't. Ford doesn't release new designs like this, I'm 99% sure this is a fake.

I hope you're right Tom however, we used to be able to say the same thing about Apple...now the world knows what the "next" iPhone will look like, and what the dimensions are months before the big announcement. Also, when focusing on the door handles alone...they are horizontal, not the paddle style that ours are currently...the handles on the super-top-secret-drive around Detroit models appear to be horizontal as well....ala F-150.
Time will tell, but I don't think this will be as far from the mark as we think.

Reason: Spelling
I will say this again, I like the paddle style door handles... I've never caught my shirt or coat on one of those and they don't seem to collect snow and ice like those horizontal ones do. Yes, I know from personal experience.
I've come to the decision over the past several days that the grille shown here won't be the design. The F-series didn't become the best selling trucks by forgetting how to design the look. I hope Tom is correct.
The reason why I couldn't forget about this is "if" this were the design, I may escalate a purchase of a 2016 when those are available just to avoid it.
What I do think is certain is the horizontal handles and wrap-around tail lights. Both of which I don't care for but it wouldn't stop a purchase like that ugly grille.
Having owned an alum car I can tell you it was not so great. But that was a long time ago and I am SURE the alum today is far superior.
The drawback as I saw it was its soft compared to steel. Worse when you got to repair body work is that soft = stretching. Hard to work body panels back to their original state. NOT saying this is the case today, great strides have been made in using alum for industrial applications.
All that said: 'get some class, wrap your azz in fiberglass' Chev gave us a fiberglass car in 1953 and is still selling it. Not sure why its not what all cars are made of. Its good stuff, easy to repair and strong, has enough give to it to repel most parking lot dings and dents.

when I saw this truck about 6 months it was similar but had a lot better body lines. I hope they go back to what I saw. And FYI the grill looks almost identical to what I saw. I was not a fan and rated it a 1.
