I don't know why there is a big difference in price. Would the Rotella be good enough? Thank you.
I actually recommend the Rotella to most of the customers I talk to, that and the Delo 400 full syn. You are going to get more sheer resistance, which feeds into stiction buildup, with a full synthetic. The Blue Diamond is a really high quality oil, and works great for customers running a bypass filter wanting to greatly extend the drain intervals. It simply isn't cost effective though for someone changing every 5-7K. I would tell you more about the bypass filters, but I don't want to hijack this thread

I agree completely with 78fordman. Any shade tree mechanic with a little common sense can accomplish anything they set their mind to. I have been a shade tree mechanic for around 25 years and have never took a vehicle to a shop to have anything fixed. If you just take a little time to asses the situation before you start you will see that it's really not that hard to repair anything. And of course, when in doubt, take pictures during the dis-assembly process for reference when re-assembling. Hopefully you won't have to change your injectors, but if you do, feel confident that you can DIY. I have found also that it is very helpful to have a friend (one that is not incompetent) around while doing repairs. That way you have two sets of eyes on the project and a helping hand if needed. Hope you get it sorted out.

Amen! Never, EVER go to the dealership unless you are still under warranty. Unless you enjoy giving away money.
