Injector pressure comes from the HPOP .Sticks should handle it
the oil from the 500 . It cannot control how much fuel is available for the injectors when needed . Was the machine fully loaded during the test ?

That reading is only what is available at idle (Usually) . FP is a measure of return to tank ( FPR ) How are you testing FP under load ?If you actually have 75 psi under load , then I am totally wrong . Pressure comes from not using what is available at the time you measure it . Given the lack of smoke in the vids I would think you are short on fuel . Sounds like the TC lock has a bit of flair to it . (unless I mis counted ) Then it was od flair . (normal)

Quick update here guys,
Ive gotten to the bottom of this. Took valve covers off the put additional shim in the valves that I found I needed. A couple great forum members lent me a couple tools and I was able to measure and redo the valve springs with 045 shims.

Before I took anything apart, I unplugged injectors and got a good look at things while someone cranked it over. One of my sticks on the drivers side was passing oil at the base a fair bit during cranking, at 2 or 3000 psi I can only imagine it would have been a big leak.

Anyways, did the springs, pulled the one injector and did new orings. There was a very tiny nick in the top oring under the steel ring, didn't look like much but something wasn't right.

Got it all buttoned back up and truck is healthy again. Making 2800-3000 psi at WOT. Picked up a couple PSI of boost. Fairly certain I can nab the 45psi now. Not sure it makes a difference because now it is just more assured tranny destruction, but the engine barks. Thanks for the help guys!

-Andrew

Me too, I wish I would have figured this out before RRE. But should be a better look at what it can do next time

Yes, I know there have been some questions lately, but mine was trying it's hardest to make pressure and did a reasonable job despite a leak for several months.

Well I'll go ahead a resurrect this thread guys, I've gotten myself into a new project...

To make a long story short, I've never been super happy with how this truck rides.. Take that and combine it with I was getting a little anxious to get back in the shop, and I decided to make some changes. Im likely chasing a unicorn with the whole ride quality deal, but all good with me I just like to build stuff.

A little history, this truck currently already has 04 SD axles front and rear. A got a deal on them and installed cause I wanted 4 wheel disk brakes.. Again, was never super happy with how it rode with RSK.

So I found an purchased an 06' front SD axle, essentially the whole front half of the frame. Im happy with the rear and to save some money, I opted to leave the current 04 axle in the rear (I'll add spacers if it looks Really funny).

Got it home and tore it down..

Had a dirty a** day wire wheeling and cleaning. Got it ready and sprayed with a metal/surface prep.

knuckles also got cleaned up, they were in rough shape particularly on the inside.

Then got a coat of this aluminum epoxy primer stuff Ive been using for a few projects now.

Knuckles got the same treatment.

Then it was epoxy paint time. I did my rad core support with the same stuff, and it is nasty nasty stuff. Im fairly happy with it. Its not professional quality finish or anything cause im just putting it on with foam brushes. So its not a show truck or anything, but it cleans it up a lot.

The knuckles were done in black for protection, then overcoated with a cast iron colour I have taken a liking to. Makes for a nice colour scheme no one will ever see

And got everything put back together.

Did you use V code springs with the RSK? I know I hated mine in the CCSB and would never use them again. My CCLB has U codes and the ride is night/day difference between the two

I am still scratching my head how you were able to have the axle sit on the jack stands and not have the weight of the pumpkin spin it downward

Also, what coils are you going with?
