Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 36.7 with light scattered overcast that looks like it could burn off fairly early.

I'm kind of wondering if there isn't a disconnect and a lack of communications at that shop between the mechanic and the helper.
I plan on checking a little further today. Going to put my scanner back on and check everything out including the bulb check.
OK carburetor fans..........My old Ranger occasionally stalls when coming down from highway speed to a stop.........the bottom just drops out and it quits.
And, it always tries to stall when coming down from 55-60mph and making the hard left turn into my driveway off HWY 126. It never stalls at stop lights during stop and go town traffic.
Other than that it runs fantastic, great power and good mpg, has the occasional hot start problem but cold starts great.

Had the purge canister solenoid code light come on in the wife's 97 Aerostar..........It stayed on intermittently for a week or so, then had it cleared from the computer and it never came back.

As long as the car is running good, running SAFE, the light stays off, I can't confirm any bad codes and it is not going to leave them stranded, I'm not going to sweat it too much. The car is high mileage and so is dad at 90 years old.

This thing is ALMOST making me miss EFI.
That sounds more like an ignition problem

You can always plug your stock box back in if your not happy with the upgrade
Well, I managed not to burn or gore myself in the shop today, I guess that progress
