I'll have it redone someday, I just needed it to mock up the steering column and dash for now.
Sew a couple of these together, and good to go!

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 42. 5 and dry for now. Supposed to be partly sunny today...sky is awful nasty looking for that right now.
Have to run dad into town to get their Taurus from shop today. Something sounds fishy there. It was the EVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid that went out, but they say when it went out it caused something else to burn out and that is something like a $700 repair bill. The check engine light is off and it is running fine, so that is going to wait.
Jim, That is a electric solenoid on a vacuum line that comes on/off depending on what vacuum your at at engine control. Idle, slight throttle, half throttle, full throttle.
It's designed to keep the vacuum from sucking fuel from your tank into the charcoal can. There is no $700 system that it could harm.
Sounds like your shop needs to drum up a little work to me.

It's the stealership in town that charges $100 an hour flat rate.
I'm thinking that dad isn't hearing what they are saying correctly or they didn't clearly explain it and that is why I am taking dad into town to pickup the car today. That way I can talk to them myself. From the way dad described it, it almost sounded like they were trying to tell him that it caused something in the computer or a controller someplace to burn out.
Didn't make any sense to me, I need to talk to them myself.
