4r100 shifting issue
hi everyone,
I have a 99 superduty, I have to let off to shift to second around 2300-2500, and it if I accelerate to hard in second it will just rev like in neutral. Rest of geara are fine and shift fine. I put new electric solenoid pack and accumulator valve body with upgraded sonnax valves. But problem still the same. No flashing o/d.

Ok thanks, that would make sense maybe becuase my shifter is hard to move too. Which I have read could be that sensor as well.

I wish, my buddy just paid $189 for the local Ford dealer to scan for trans codes. Result was "you need a new trans, $4950 for a Ford reman.".

That's insane for generally less than 30 mins of there time to drive down rd with scanner hooked to it. Then half the time I doubt there diagnosis is probably wrong it's easier to put in a new tranny than fix the one that's in it.

And if it ever comes down to changing tranny it would be bts or John woods for that kind of money, I hope that price was parts and LABOR.

yeah right, that's their price bringing the truck to them. I do believe they meant parts and labor, otherwise their more loony tunes than I figured. I told my buddy to go BTS if he was going to drop that coin, but he's not, we're looking for a local re-builder that can do it for ~$1500.
