stroking out a 352 block

Hi. Im currently looking at some options for my 66 f100. It has a 352 and I am wondering about boring the block to 4.050 (standard 390 bore) and installing a Scat rotating assembly. what is the max stroke I can go with?
I don't mind doing a few tricky mods if required.

Thanks

If your block will go .050 over, you can go as far as you like. The Scat folks or Survival will have all the block clearance info.

With a 4.050 bore, you would end up about 438 with a 4.25 stroke, the largest I found in my 30 seconds of checking.

Do the drill bit test and if it looks good then do a sonic check on the cylinder walls to find out the actual cyl. wall thickness

I'd be willing to be you can't go that big on a 352 block. I would suggest looking for a 360/390 block that hadn't been bored yet. Besides I think there's some problems with your plans. I'm pretty sure you can't use a a stock 390 piston with a 4.25" crank. I think the pin location is a little different for the stroker combo. I think Survival only offers a 4.080 or 4.090 piston. If I am right which I think I am on the piston choice means you would really have to make your block big.

The last stock 352 block I had was sonic tested and wouldn't do a 4.050 bore.
I did actually order a 445 kit from Survival like 2 months ago and have yet to see a piece of it so I can't give you any insight on that stuff or at least yet.

If I was going to spend the money, I would get the 4.375" stroke. Why wouldn't one get the biggest? It's not going to cost much, if any, more than stroking it 4.25".

I definitely wouldn't spend the money on a 410, or in my case, 416.
