Hey all, I'm currently saving my pennies to purchase a stroker kit for a 390 block I have.
I'm wondering what the shipping time looks lile from vendors such as Survival, CoastHigh etc...once I order this kit, I'd like to get it together quicker than slower because spring will be here before I know it.
Anyone with experience in this?
I ordered gaskets and freeze plugs and other misc stuff and it shipped within three days. PA74F250 ordered a lot more ( https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...445-build.html ) and it took almost 2 mos, but realizing that the EMC competition and the PRI show occurred in that time frame and also realizing that he (Barry) may have to order stuff that is not commonly manufactured on a daily basis by the suppliers, well, be aware that you may have to be patient.
Be prepared to wait if you order from Survival. I think Barry offers a good package it's just he's very busy. Still I think the customer service end needs a little help. If you don't mind waiting a little with very little to no communication then I would recommend Barry...you'll get your stuff. I called so many times and emailed probably around a dozen times for an update but rarely got a response. He did get a hold of me once it was ready to ship and said the Pistons were the hold up. Like I said that part is a little frustrating but I still plan on buying more from him or at least my roller cam for now.
I think the flat top Pistons he has available. I ordered the dished to keep the coression down a little.

That's actually what I'm trying to decide right now..dish or flats. Will 93 octane let me run flats, and what's the added benefit? Would the difference be noticeable?
