I can tell you it is a lot of fun to drive old vehicles to the drive in movie. I have taken my 55 f100 and my 39 ford in the last two years. Have driven a lot of old cars to drive ins and it is always a blast.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Larry
I just saw my old Dodge is on CL. I wish him better luck selling it than I had. My Christmas supper is done and no signs of a blockage or gas pains. My new guts appear to be working pretty well so far.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everybody had a great day!
I got a trailer brake controller and the trim/moldings for my camper shell that I've been needing, also some much needed clothes ...for good use lol!
I've been making some slow progress on my rear bumper project too. I finally got my plate steel I needed, and with some help from my brother and his employer's facilities...we made quick work of cutting out my mounting brackets with the plasma cutter and portaband saw.
Progress pics!
There is still a lot to do and I keep coming up with more ideas, but it'll get there.
Well good evening to all, we are home safe and sound and Christmas went very well with all the grand kids and traveling. Looks like all is well with everyone else, glad to read that.
Had a great mini FTE G2G (get to gather) in a Casey's parking lot with a fairly new FTE member "Edmed". Super nice guy, that is a 73-79 Ford truck guy all the way.
Ed was great to meet up with you and hope the parts work out for you. And you have a VERY VERY AWESOME looking 79 4x4 F250 truck! Looking fwd to meeting up again for maybe a early spring G2G with the rest of the Mo chapter gang?
I got a very interesting gift from the x bro inlaw pics tomorrow.....it is too cool.
good morning misouri.. good to hear most made it through Christmas ok... .. nice work on the bumper brackets...makes my foolish attempts at building a bumper look bad
Chip. Like I always say, I spent a LOT of years sucking at building things before I started to get good at it. I love your new toy!
Rich. Glad you had a good time and got to meet another dent guy.
Ok, everyone! They cancelled the 4x4 Jamboree this year. They're going to try and combine that, and the street machine nationals in to one event in September. My proposal is this... Have a truck show/car crush in late spring at the shop. The weekend is wide open right now, so any thoughts you all have, let me know. I want to have a date nailed down by the end of January so I can start promoting it. I'm shooting for the end of May/beginning of June.
It sounds like a good time Alan. If I can make it, I don't know what I'll be driving, nice enough weather might warrant the convertible or tops out of the TransAm. I doubt Ms Dent will be done by then, we get to start on CJ and Shelby's home gut and remodel next month and still have three in the shop with two waiting with deposits booked for February.
Well here is what Santa brought me, cause he knows I like Ford stuff.
The metal Ford truck silhouette is going to get some paint and some other detailing (reflective stuff in the headlights and park lights) and then be put out to guard on the driveway.
I have a lead on getting more if you want one.....
May/June for a G2G at your shop sounds like a good deal. I have NO idea where I wil be or what I will be doing around that time, but I hope to be able to make it....and drive a Ford. lol
