Used the search function like everyone says to, took me a while, but Yahiko never fails to amaze me with his willingness to help. The only post I was able to find that actually explained and showed where this damn heater cord is located, my truck is now plugged in and should be warm in the morning.

I had forgotten about that photo. I see one other thing in it that is
worth pointing out. The end of the arrow you can see the cord and a
metal clip. That clip is what holds the plug into the connector on the
heater. To remove it you just have to reach up and wiggle that clip
off the heater and then it will easily unplug from the heater.

The newer trucks 2005+ didn't come with cords unless the dealer ordered it with it so many won't have it. Also the replacement cord plugs into the heating element and then is held on with a large collar nut. I put them on hand tight.

Good to know that. Mine is held on with that metal clip device.

Are you saying the 2005/newer came with it already installed in the block but the cord is not included or was it an orderable option for both?

I have a 2006 but I do not see the cord and I did not inspect further to see if there was anything on the block.

Your truck came with a block heater. Cords were optional order item.
Look just above the starter.

In the photo you can see the cord hanging down. It was moved a bit out of place but
you should be able to find it if you do have one.
