for confirmation when you get your build sheet it should list the block heater if you got one. It is nothing more that the plug in which as stated above would be just on the inside of your bumper on the passenger side.

The heater itself is installed you just need the cord.

All trucks have the block heater but not all of them have the cord/plug. Check out your window sticker to see if there is a $35 option for the block heater. If yes, then its there and you need to locate it. It could be tied up next to the radiator. Mine was hard to find because it was taped up like this. If its not on your window sticker then you need to buy the cord. Its a very easy install, cost is only about $35 give or take and you can pick one up from your local Ford dealer, an International dealer or better yet use FTE parts guy since he supports this site and will give you a good deal.

if this helps it doesn't look like a normal plug on a vehicle. It looks more like a connector with a cap on it. I didn't think mine had one and found it when I was installing my plow brackets.

I had this issue with my 08 diesel. Since it originated in Florida there was no block heater cord on mine.
I bought the block heater cord thru International truck dealership here for $30. Ford wanted $80. I can't remember the part number tho'.
And its not that easy to install. The pin plug on the engine block is right behind the starter. Takes two different hands/fingers to try to push it onto the block pins and then try to screw on the locking nut isn't easy, but can be done (I did it), once you figure how to get it behind the starter.
Ran the cord along the front passenger side frame rail and tied up with zip ties along the way, and put the plug out the bumper next to the tow hook and used a zip tie to the tow hook.

It's International part no. ZBL3600008. I just picked it up at my local International dealer for $24.95. Just got finished installing the cord and yeah, your not kidding. That was a PITA to get plugged in... Thanks to all the info I got from FTE though. Without the helpful guys here I wouldn't have known I had a block heater or part no. much less where to plug it in.
