I have a 75 F250 supercab (camper special), it has a 390 and auto transmission at the moment. When I was decoding the vin tag, everything seemed original and matched what is currently on the vehicle. The transmission code on mine is "C" and it says that is a 3-speed manual transmission. I don't see any type of hole in the floor for a manual shifter, so is this just a typo or do you think at one point someone really converted it to auto? I used this:

Are all the 3-speed autos a C6 transmission?
Nope, there are quite a few others beginning with Ford-O-Matic that was introduced in 1951 Ford/Merc cars and 1953 F100/350. 1950/55 Lincoln's used GM's 4 speed Hydra-Matic.
