decoding please

Ok, so this trucks warranty code is: f25yk775943 So dose that mean it is a 67 because of the y code 352? And is the warranty code the same as the VIN?

color: H

Body: M81

Trans: A

axel: b4

it also says my net certified hp is 172 @ 4000 and the rpm code is 54

so could some one decode the previous please. Because they are saying its a 64 and i told them they are full of it. I need to know how right i am lol Plus i am really curious about the other stuff. thanks

i posted this one area up because im not really sure what year the truck is. but sorry if this is a 67. but thanks anyways

D was used in 1965 F100/350's for the 352.

Y was used in 1966 & 1967 F100/350's for the 352.

1968/76 F100/350: Y = 360 2V.

And is the warranty code the same as the VIN? YES

By the VIN, and the codes off the Warranty Plate, it is NOT a 1964!

F25 = F250 2WD

Y = 352 2V

K = Kansas City Assembly Plant

775943 = 1966, assembled November 1965.

H = Sahara Beige

M81: Medium Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Cody Pattern Woven Plastic.

A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual.

B4: Spicer-Dana 60 / 4.10-1 / LIMITED SLIP / 5200 lb. Rear Axle Capacity

172 NET HP @ 4,000 RPM.

DSO 54 = Omaha NE Ford District Sales Zone Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

If this was a 1964, it would not have a 352 engine, would not have the New Process 435 transmission, would not have the same interior info.

The only V8 used 1961/64 is the 292 2V (VIN engine code C). EZ way to tell: The distributor is BEHIND the carburetor.

352 = The distributor is in FRONT of the carburetor.

that is so awesome, thank you. once again you are great. That is going to save me alot of time. Well it looks like i have a new home here at the sixty forum. I am going to drive the truck home 2maro morning. Ill get some pictures as well. it isnt in the best shape but fairly good for never having the body being touched.

You could drive it over to Kaycee and take the pics at Hole-in-the Wall.

Hole-in-the-Wall, for people that are unaware, was a famous outlaw hideout west of Buffalo, WY.

For example, famous outlaws Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid were known as the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang.

lol im going to be lucky if i can get home, none the less drive there and get back home. but ill get some taken there eventually just for you lol. I can drive it a few miles from my house where there used to be a german pow camp in WWII. But it is just a guys hay field now lol.
