Power Windows

My power windows in the back dont go up or down. I can hear the motors, but, no movement. Is there a gear that is stripped? Do I need a new motor?

the power window motors have a set of plastic bushings that crumble and break down over time. I believe you can find them in the help section of the auto parts store. Although instead of using the plastic bushings I just used metal nuts

Guitar is right. I just replaced the motor on my rear passenger door because it was bad. You have two choices you can either drill out the rivets and replace them with rivets or bolts. Or do like I did and drill two holes to get to the motor bolts.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I will order the new motors.
You drilled holes through the metal on the door? Large enough for a socket?

Yes you drill the hole's,it make's it easier and the holes are covered up by the door panel's anyway, and if you ever have to replace them again the hole's will already be there.

I know there are a bunch of threads on here telling how to fix window motor gearboxes like that. But when I tried to fix a rear window motor on my crew cab that was not how it was. I know the rear and fron motor assemblies are different part numbers. Apparently they are quite different from each other in construction too.
