I need step-by-step instructions on how to completely replace the power window motor. I've been reading and it says something about drilling rivets. Where are they located and how do I replace the motor without using rivets. Can I do it with bolts, screws and washers instead?
I just need a step-by-step process to follow....... PLEASE!
There should be a bracket that connects the motor to the door. Those are the rivets. Yes I have used bolts instead of rivits but they have to have a low profile and use some thread lock afterward. As for a step-by-step good luck on that that. Hopefully someone here is willing to describe it.
But it is as easy as removing the inside door panel
removeing the power connector.
Drilling out the rivets.
Becoming a contotionist to get you hand around the motor.
Physically haveing someone hold the window up and out of your way.
Remove motor
