Power window problems

My 1986 Ford F250 with power windows.....driver side goes down fine, but will not come back up unless you pull up on the glass. The motor is working but seems to be slipping......any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a plastic worm gear at the output of the motor that is broke. Most parts stores carry the replacement plastic gears with new grease. I think I got mine at O'rielly's when it broke. After taking of the inside door panel, you'll have to drill two holes (there are indents where the screws are mounted) to access the bolts that hold the motor in place. After getting the bolts loose, just work the motor out of the hole in the door. You'll see where the gear is/was at the motor enclosure and the rest should be a piece of cake.
